Sugar City Con is the largest regional pop culture event in Australia, with comic book, anime/manga, Cosplay and gaming fans of all ages invited to the Mackay Showgrounds.


Cosplay is always one of the main attractions of the event; people dress in the hundreds, just for fun, or for the competition.


Think you can out-cosplay a professional cosplayer? Then enter the Sugar City Con Cosplay Competition to win some awesome prizes! Even if you don’t want to enter, you can still come dressed as your favourite character – it’s all part of the fun.


Try out the latest games and consoles, or get your head into a game of table top gaming. Attendees have the chance to meet and greet with their favourite actors, grab a selfie or 2, or get some memorabilia signed.


Sugar City Convention is a must-go-to event for not only hard core pop culture fans, but locals and families alike, and we look forward to seeing you there too!
